Privacy Policy

Private Photo Cleaner is designed to help you review and clean up photos and videos on your iPhone while keeping your media private.

Summary

  • Your photos and videos are analyzed on your device.
  • Your photos and videos are not uploaded to our servers.
  • The app does not require an account.
  • The app does not track you across apps or websites.
  • The app does not collect personal data from you.
  • Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store.

Photos and Videos

The app requests access to your photo library so it can scan your photos and videos, group similar items, estimate file sizes, and help you review items before deletion.

Photo and video analysis is performed on your device. The app does not upload your photos, videos, thumbnails, library contents, or analysis results to servers controlled by us.

If you choose to delete items, the deletion is performed through Apple's Photos framework. Deleted items may remain recoverable in the system Recently Deleted album according to Apple's Photos behavior.

Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect:

  • Your photos or videos
  • Photo or video thumbnails
  • Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or account identifiers
  • Contacts
  • Location history
  • Advertising identifiers
  • Analytics events tied to your identity
  • Payment card information

The app does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not track you across other apps or websites.

Data Stored on Your Device

The app may store limited app state locally on your device, including:

  • Whether you have seen onboarding or review guidance
  • Items you placed in the Swipe delete queue
  • Items you marked as kept during Swipe review
  • Free cleanup quota usage
  • Cached scan results used to make the app faster
  • App preferences such as video mute state or review sort mode

This information is stored locally using iOS storage such as UserDefaults and, for free quota usage, secure local storage when available. This local app state is not sent to us.

You can remove this local app data by deleting the app from your device. Some system-level photo deletion history or Recently Deleted behavior is controlled by iOS and the Photos app.

Purchases and Subscriptions

The app may offer optional Premium subscriptions and one-time purchases. Purchases, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment processing are handled by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit.

We do not receive or store your payment card details. The app may read purchase and subscription entitlement status from Apple so it can unlock Premium features.

You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account subscription settings. One-time purchases do not renew.

Permissions

The app may request photo library access. This permission is used to scan your library and help you review cleanup suggestions.

You can change photo access at any time in iOS Settings. If access is limited or denied, the app may be unable to scan all or part of your library.

The app may also access device storage information to show local storage usage and estimated cleanup impact.

Children

The app is not intended to collect personal information from children. Because the app does not require an account and does not collect personal data, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if the app's features, data practices, or legal requirements change. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above.
