Frequently Asked Questions

Are my photos or videos uploaded?

No. Photo and video analysis is performed on your iPhone. Private Photo Cleaner does not upload your photos, videos, thumbnails, or library analysis results to servers controlled by us.

Do I need an account?

No. The app does not require sign-in or an account.

What happens when I delete items?

When you confirm deletion, the app asks iOS Photos to delete the selected items. Deleted items may remain recoverable in the system Recently Deleted album according to Apple's Photos behavior.

Why can I only see some of my photos?

You may have granted limited photo access. Open iOS Settings, find Private Photo Cleaner, and review Photos permission. Granting full photo access allows the app to scan your full library.

How do I restore Premium purchases?

Open the Premium page in the app and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account used for the original purchase.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open iOS Settings, tap your Apple Account, then tap Subscriptions. You can also use Apple's subscription management page:

https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions

Lifetime Premium is a one-time purchase and does not renew.

Why does scanning take time?

Large photo libraries and video-heavy libraries can take longer to scan. Keep the app open while scanning for the best result. The app is designed to scan locally on your device, which helps keep your media private.

Why did storage not immediately change after deletion?

iOS may keep deleted items in Recently Deleted for a period of time. Storage may not be fully reclaimed until items are permanently deleted from Recently Deleted or until iOS updates its storage calculations.
